HP 3D printing academy
HP 3D Printing presented 3D Academy, where they showed how additive manufacturing improves manufacturing processes through the product life cycle. They also explained the benefits of 3D printing, the disruptive HP Multi Jet Fusion technology, and shared success stories from different industries in which future customers are re-inventing the way that things are manufactured.
This session about surface treatment, organised in conjunction with AIAS, discussed the methods and analysis of stainless steel surface contamination and the importance of chemical passivation on post-processing, a key factor for the ultimate success of additive manufacturing, as well as new trends in materials and surface treatments for the industry.
COMPOSITES ENGINEERING FORUM
Throughout the day on Thursday, 28 November, the Composites Engineering session took place in the HP 3D Printing room, organised by Asociación Española de Materiales Compuestos (AEMAC), a non-profit entity founded in 1993 and composed of companies, research centres, universities and professionals working in fields related to composite materials.
